Leaving Los Angeles seemed like a weird move, especially since I’m an actor-comedian – why on earth would I move to Connecticut? Because we bought a house. Because I used to live in Manhattan and wanted to be nearby. Because my dad grew up near Boston, Massachusetts, and this was my compromise to his dearly departed soul. Because… it was just Meant To Be.

Subscribe now

I love the East Coast, meeting and working with the straight-forward, no BS community, and, of course, creating entertainment. But I realized very quickly that, in order for me to thrive in this neck of the woods, online socializing and even in-person networking events weren’t enough. I’ve always been a one-on-one kind of person, and “IRL” (In Real Life) is always better. Plus, I had also just survived a life-threatening disease that reared its head in late 2024 and gasped its last breath in mid 2025. I’m lucky to be alive, and it’s time to make the most of it. So, what better way to ignite my connection to the creative community than by starting my own podcast and recording it in my 250-year-old home? I love learning about artists through deep conversation, and that’s exactly what I’m doing with this show.

Share

Georgia in Connecticut is me in conversation with creatives in the entertainment world, from film and television to the stage and the page, about what they do, where they do it, and why they’re doing it in Connecticut. It’s about insightful perspectives, on-the-job lessons, challenges, set-backs, and triumphs. It’s about being an artist, and what it takes to follow a dream, to persevere, and to build a community. In each episode I find out where they live in Connecticut, why they’re still here, their background in creativity, what they’re doing now, and sometimes, what’s their favorite local restaurant. From film director to graphic designer, song writer to stage manager, documentarian to stunt performer, this first season is chock-full of guests from varied creative backgrounds.

I hope you’ll tune in! New episodes of Georgia in Connecticut land every other week exclusively on YouTube, and will also be available to stream wherever you listen to podcasts.
